Spray tans have come a LONG way since the "I look like a Dorito" phase. Our entire spray tan solution product line is made of naturally derived ingredients certified vegan by PETA Foundation. We custom mix your formula specific to your skin tone, undertones and desired result. This is why a Palms tan differs from a booth tan. With the proper pre and post tan maintenance you'll wearing the most natural looking glow out there. Orange is for pumpkins, not spray tans. EVER.
Your Palms spray tan should last you around 7-10+ days. It may last longer if you are doing the proper prep and maintenance! Make sure you've got a dang good tan extender and drink plenty of water! A properly maintained spray tan should fade out naturally and unnoticeable.

Express tans are ahhmazing! You get the same result as our classic or luxury tan but in HALF the processing time! Its great for the busy babes who need to rinse faster or have something planned in the evening, or just like to rinse off before going to bed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The clay-based powder eliminates the tacky feeling you acquire after your sunless tanning session, while brightening and creating silky soft skin. We currently use a Coconut 🥥 scent that keeps you smelling and feeling fresh until you rinse. It has a proprietary natural color with "browning" color change technology. Seals the spray tan for less smudging and transfer and marking. Our Babes LOVE the finishing powder to make them feel super comfortable right after your spray! Try it out at your next visit!
Short answer: No. Although DHA comes from an organic source (sugar cane, beets), it is not organic. Why? Because once it is extracted from the organic source it becomes a chemical. Therefore, "organic based" rather than synthetic.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Make sure to wear LOOSE, dark clothing after your spray sesh. You don't want anything TIGHT on your skin that will cause rubbing or friction. The best is a loose dress you can jump into or super comfy, loose pajamas.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Make sure to wear easy to put on shoes, too! If its raining☔️, make sure to wear something that covers all of your exposed skin, like a jacket or hoodie (closed toe shoes too!)

You should ALWAYS wear a sunscreen (especially your face) when you have a spray tan. A spray tan offers NO protection from the suns rays, so slather that stuff on, Babe!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

and YES - you will 100% still get a natural tan through your spray tan in the sun!
Waxing should be completed at least 48 hours prior to your appointment and shaving should be completed with a razor that lacks a moisture strip NO sooner than 24-48 hours prior.
DHA - the stuff that is the active ingredient that makes you tan - is usually derived from plant sources such as sugar cane or sugar beet, and by the fermentation of glycerin. It's actually a clear liquid, the brown you see in your tan while being sprayed is just bronzer & a color guide for application.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Once the solution is applied to your skin, you keep it on for a specific amount of time. This is the “marinating” period, the DHA is working with the amino acids in your dead skin cells to give you your glow. This is why it’s important to follow all before and aftercare instructions. The dead skin cell buildup, when you don’t exfoliate, will leave you with a patchy tan. And throwing on a pair of leggings after being sprayed will move your tan around, and once developed, will look unnatural!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Once you’ve marinated, and its safe to rinse, you’ll see those bronzers I was talking about go down the drain! No worries! Your gorgeous tan will be fully developed in 24 hours!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you’ve read this far, you’re probably like “cool, don’t care” - but if you’re new to tanning, you should care! A perfect spray tan is the result of 50% the clients skin prep and knowledge of spray tans and 50% the technique and knowledge of the spray tan tech. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Your spray tan will last about 7-10 days! Your skin naturally sheds thousands and thousands of dead skin cells a day! Once you noticed your tan fading, time to exfoliate!

My go-to soap is A GLO BAR spray tan friendly bar soap that we carry at Palms. We also have a FHF ahead butter soap if that floats your boat too. it’s best to use all-natural products or products made for spray tans. You want a soap that super moisturizing but without the harsh ingredients that will strip you spray and DEFINITELY not Dove!!
The general rule of thumb is at least 2 days prior to an event. This way it allows for some wiggle room if you need a touch up you've got time. If you're able to tan the night before your vacation, that's ideal so your tan lasts the longest. If you're a #tanaddict then the best day to tan is Wednesday (don't forget to exfoliate the old tan off first, babe!)⠀⠀⠀

Our classic tans are an 8 hour rinse solution. That means you have to leave the solution on your skin for 8 hours before rinsing. Most Babes choose to get these done at night and sleep in them. They are in an aloe base and super moisturizing!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Our Express tans are a rapid RINSE solution. Which means YOU control how dark you will get. You leave it on your skin for 1-4 hours and then rinse. They have a higher concentration of DHA (what makes you tan) in them. You will reach your full color in 24 hours, just like the classic tan BUT it just allows you to rinse quicker. Perfect for a glow on the go or if you don't like marinating in the solution.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Not usually, no! Our spray tans have bronzer in them - while they shouldn't stain your clothes or sheets - its best to wear LOOSE dark clothing and nothing tight that causes friction. If you tend to roll around a lot at night, you may want to throw a towel down while you sleep. I personally never have an issue with the bronzer staining anything of my own (and I've dumped solution on me!). If you DO end up with some bronzer on anything, pop it in the washer sooner rather than later and it should come right off. We would recommend not sitting on white or lighter colored leather or suede seats or couches while solution is on your skin though!
